AI is the part you pay for, and only when you want it. Every AI feature is free to try — most of them once, so you can judge the output on your own job before deciding. • Spreadsheet Import: Bring your existing tracker with you. Import a CSV and every application, status and contact lands in Kandid.pro ready to go — no re-typing and no period of running two systems side by side.

3. Career Profile Management

Your career profile is the "single source of truth" that powers everything else, AI or not.

• Structured Career Data: Your career is broken down into components: Roles, Activities, Skills Portfolio, Qualifications, Certifications, Career Highlights, and Professional Summary.
• Shared Personal Details: Your name, contact details and links sit at the page level and are shared by every profile — change them once and every profile updates.
• Career Timeline Ribbon: A full-width interactive timeline that visualises your entire career history — role bars are colour-coded by employer, qualifications appear in a separate education lane, and clicking any bar jumps directly to that role's editor.
• Section Navigator: A fixed left-hand panel lists all profile sections with item counts and quick-add buttons, so you can jump to any section or add a new entry without scrolling.
• Skills Proficiency Badges: Each skill in your portfolio can be rated as Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Specialist, or Expert. The rating is shown as a colour-coded badge and is included in the context provided to the AI for more accurate document generation.

• CV Composer: Build a Resume by hand on a single screen — the section picker on the left, the assembled document on the right, updating as you tick. Assembly is deterministic and server-side: no AI and no credits.
• Section Selection & Ordering: Choose exactly which sections to include — Personal details, Professional summary, Career highlights, Core competencies, Technical skills, Work experience, Qualifications, Certifications — and reorder them with up/down controls.

• Skills & Keywords Extraction: Automatically extracts and categorises technical and soft skills from job descriptions to ensure your documents achieve strong keyword alignment.
• Skill Gap Analysis: Aggregates matching data across all your applications to reveal the skills you are consistently missing, prioritised by severity with certifications, effort estimates, and progress tracking.

12. Document Generation

• Resume & Cover Letter Generation: The AI retrieves the most relevant narrative blocks from your career history and composes a persuasive, executive-level Resume and Cover Letter, optimised for the specific role.
• Contextual Retrieval: An intelligent retrieval system surfaces the most relevant parts of your career history for any given job context, powering the document generation engine.
• Quality Checks (QA + ATS): A single "Run Quality Checks" button triggers both checks simultaneously. The QA model fact-checks the document for consistency against your career profile and ensures adherence to linguistic standards (e.g., British English). The ATS model simulates an Applicant Tracking System, scoring your Resume on keyword alignment, formatting, and readability with actionable improvement suggestions. Results are displayed in a tabbed panel (QA and ATS tabs) and each run is preserved for comparison.
• Key Selection Criteria (KSC) Responses: For Australian government, non-profit, healthcare, and education roles, the AI automatically detects selection criteria in the job description and generates a complete KSC response document — criterion by criterion — with STAR-structured evidence drawn from your career profile. Each criterion gets a comprehensive response, with honest [MISSING] flags where evidence is thin. Review and edit in a structured criterion-by-criterion editor, then export as DOCX or PDF for submission.
• Activity Bullet Point Tailoring: A specialised assistant helps you draft or refine high-impact bullet points for your career history — the key input for every other AI output. The Free tier includes two runs.

13. Interview Preparation

The free parts of interview preparation — your Interview Questions Library (categorised questions for general use or specific companies), interview round tracking, and the Interview Advice resource centre — are not metered and never have been.
