Documents
The Documents page is your central document library. Every Resume, Cover Letter, and Email Draft you create in Kandid.pro is stored here, with flexible views for browsing, filtering, and managing your documents.
View Modes
Toggle between two display modes using the list/grid icon in the toolbar.
List View
The table view shows all documents in a single sortable list.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Type | Icon indicating document type — Resume, Cover Letter, or Email |
| Job Title | The role the document was created for; shows target role for lead-linked emails |
| Company | The company the document targets |
| Version | Editable document version name. Displays a Primary badge if this is the primary version |
| Quality | ATS score badge — Excellent (≥80%), Good (≥60%), Needs Work (<60%), or Not Scored |
| Created | Date the document was created |
| Actions | Dropdown with: View, Rename, Download (DOCX/PDF), Link to Application, Delete |
You can sort the list by Job Title, Company, Quality score, or Created date.
Tile View
The card grid groups documents by Job Title, with a "Standalone" group for documents not linked to an application.
- Each group shows the total number of documents within it.
- Each card displays: document type, company, version name, quality badge, creation date, and quick Download (DOCX/PDF) buttons.
- The same action menu is available from each card.
Document Types
Three document types exist in the system:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Resume | Resume — includes AI-generated, manually built from profile sections, and blank Resumes |
| Cover Letter | Cover letters generated by AI or manually edited |
| Email drafts for networking and outreach — Introduction, Follow Up, Interview Acceptance, Post-Interview Thank You, and Accept Offer |
All documents are stored as structured content internally. Legacy documents fall back to Markdown format.
Quality Badges
Quality badges reflect the ATS score from the most recent Quality Check run on a document.
| Badge | Score | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Excellent | ≥ 80% | Document is well-optimised for ATS screening |
| Good | 60–79% | Document is acceptable; some improvements are possible |
| Needs Work | < 60% | Document may underperform in ATS screening |
| Not Scored | — | Quality Check has not been run yet |
Tip: Run Quality Check after generating or editing a Resume to see how it scores against the job description's keywords. The ATS report provides specific, actionable suggestions for improvement.
